The answer is NO. The franchise has had a bumpy few years of late. All for One and Q-force weren't exactly must have games, so is this a last ditch attempt to cash in on the series before Ratchet and Co retire? Certainly looks like it. But my internet surfing soon found more information on the film. Insomniac are giving the greenest of green lights and there full co-operation to the film makers. Voice talent and remaining faithful to the story and characters.
This got me thinking, so its going to be one long cut-scene with Qwark and the rest of the weird and wonderful people. On the most beautiful looking landscapes and planets the gaming world has seen. My interest has now been officially been re-peaked.
How they can capture the platforming, collecting bolts, the awesome gadgets and weapons onto film is beyond me, I just have to have faith my beloved characters hold true to who they are and make me proud. The teaser trailer has certainly pushed the right buttons regarding the franchise and they have managed to capture the sense of humour of the series, spot on. (plus if I DON'T see a R.Y.N.O in there, they shall receive a very snotty letter from yours truly)!
