The original COD Black Ops, hit a nice blend of old school action, but had enough references to keep the modern day people happy. Set before technology over took gunplay and skill, the Jungles of Vietnam and the Cold War although have been done, but they where only one-offs and very successful. The 1960's to 80's has a massive influence on todays arsenal, Countries ploughed money after the War to get the advantage ready for the next.
